Horrible Bosses Movie Review

image1.jpgHorrible Bosses is a comedy that is bound to be overlooked merely because of it's title and subject manner, which is a shame because this film is hilarious.

It's full to the brim slapstick comedy, western culture cross-reference humor and solid one-liners such as when Nick (Jas... read moreon Bateman) is questioned by the police for speeding away from a crime scene he states "I'm a drag racer". This blend of elements makes Horrible Bosses comparable to Super Bad and The Hangover, both of which are extremely successful mainly due to their basic yet unorthodox approach to comedy.

What's most impressive about Horrible Bosses aside from it's humor, is it's ability to make the characters endearing or at the least likable throughout without really ever leaving their surface level. The plot itself is simplistic and typically box office, though despite this it leaves a great structure to build the rest of the film upon (as you probably know plot is only a small element of a comedy).

This movie does suffer from minor consistency issues throughout, the comedy can run dry at times, but only for short 5 minute spouts. The main dissapointment this movie exudes lies within this movie it's stale and sometimes skin-crawl crude comedy portrayed by Aniston as Dr. Harris, it's horrible to watch at every angle (from a comedic point of view).

Horrible Bosses is the years finest comedy (so far).
